The Tweet Tank
When it comes to Twitter, I can honestly say that we have a special place in our hearts for any related affiliate products. Of course, this also means that we are super-critical of them. Twitter is a phenomenal environment to find success with affiliate products, however it takes time and patience for you to do so. Think of Twitter as your new list-builder – and you will see what I mean.
So, with The Tweet Tank, you are looking at this very concept. The tool itself is designed to build your Twitter following, but to do so based upon keywords that individuals are Tweeting about or which appear in their profile Bio. It offers you the ability to manage two Twitter accounts with your license, and you can choose to remove an account and add another account at any point in time.
You first choose which keywords you want to have associated with your account. You can add and remove at your discretion, and there is no limit to the number of keywords that you can use. Second, you start following people based upon those keywords. You can select which keywords you will be searching Twitter for on which days, as well as set how many follows you will conduct on each day. Hence, you can choose to search for “social networking” on Monday and Tuesday, and ” affiliate marketing” on every other day of the week. You can follow twenty people on Mon – Fri, and 50 on every other day… or mix it up as you wish.
The Tweet Tank has an auto message feature, allowing you to send a “Thank You” DM to any user which follows you – which is highly recommended. However, don’t use the auto message feature for anything beyond that – people hate getting DM’s because it forces them to clean up their in-box. The tool also has a Status Update feature, which is another way of saying “scheduled tweets”. Scheduled Tweets are great for information that is informative, but most people are looking for organic tweets. So, if you have a message that you want to send daily at a specific time, use this feature, otherwise, let it be. The feature allows you to send a tweet each day at the same time, but doesn’t offer a randomizing feature or a way of loading tweets from a file to post at random intervals throughout the day.
All in all, this tool will able you to build a Twitter following for your twitter account(s), that is keyword targeted. Just like a mailing list does, this allows you to disseminate information out to people that are interested in content related to the keywords that you searched for. However, with Twitter, following them doesn’t necessarily mean that they will follow you. So, you will have to un-follow people who fail to follow you back – and this tool does have this feature. I wish that it was more specific, and allow you to un-follow people after they haven’t followed you back after X amount of days of you following them, but it still gets the job done!
All in all, The Tweet Tank is a decent and affordable tool for any Internet Marketer to have in their arsenal. Are there better tools? I’m sure that there are. However, this one is a good buy for the price – and offers you more Twittter account management capability than you had before you purchased it. My advice – use it, build your following, promote your products and services, make money, and then buy a better tool once you can afford one! Just don’t forget that Twitter users don’t want a bunch of promotional ads and Tweets – they want informative and entertaining Tweets – so mix it up!
